There is typically a small wait when you arrive and that's because the food is just so good. You'll find the whole neighborhood here. I just can't get enough.

Being from San Antonio I consider myself a Mexican food snob. Lol. I have a favorite spot for enchiladas but my dad insisted we HAD to go try a east side staple...aka Mittman's. This is a little mom and pop, hole in the wall establishment but don't judge a book by its cover! This place is good! I tried the enchilada plate (one cheese, one beef) - I would stick to all beef in the future. I also got my all time favorite, carne guisada with cheese - very flavorful just needs a little salsa. Outside of the food the staff was great, you felt right at home. You can tell this place has been in the neighborhood for years and I hope it continues to be!

Great tacos it's a mom and pop restaurant.  The tacos r good and the my have yummy huevos rancheros at a good price either by itself of with carne guisada or barbacoa or bacon.  Have good coffee as well and they also have half and half which is half tea and half lemonade

This is an awesome mom and pop restaurant. I have never had a bad experience here. They have  great customer service. Parking is the only issue in the mornings because it gets busy with the breakfast crowd. They have some bomb diggity bean and cheese tacos, but my favorite is their machcado.
